GIO BASICALI

Dirt, Soy & Me roll out to Rootdown @ Little Temple to watch Acrylick's Master of Ceremony, Gio Basicali.

Gio is an emerging independent hip-hop artist that is helping to refresh urban music by providing a great sound, catchy hooks and a clear message with his lyrics. A Mid-City L.A. native, Gio has his musical roots planted deep within West Coast Indie hip-hop. He appeals to both worlds commercial and underground with that classic bounce and groove found in L.A. sound, Gio adds a high-energy delivery and an infectious feel-good vibe within his music. His sound weaves into the realms of break-beats, jazz, soul, and rock, creating a vibrant music experience. His music reflects his character, the lyrics are free and unconstrained, yet still remains true to that real hip-hop sound.
